PAUL REVERE & RAIDERS 1961 Gardena / MIDNIGHT RIDE: PAUL REVERE & RAIDERS Midnight Ride Here's a single that goes right back to near the beginning for Paul Revere & The Raiders. The group was just another garage band from Boise, Idaho, but are credited as being one of the most famous group to emerge from Seattle ! Go figure. This single is from 1960, and catches them right there at the beginning, before any singles with Seattle's Jerden Records, and way before Columbia came knocking. They were the new discovery of Gardena Records down in Pasadena, California. They had only recently changed their name from the Downbeats to Paul Revere' & The Raiders when they cut their first singles for Gardena.
